The Westin Montreal Hotel held the first edition of the Qigong International Health Symposium in Montreal from November 1 to 4, 2019.
Nearly 150 people came to hear the many internationally renowned experts gathered for the event. Among them were Cyrille Javary, Livia Kohn, Ke Wen, Kang Gewu, Zhang Wenchun, Cao Yun, Yang Huixin and Loan Cheng Feng.
The event was kicked off with a magnificent opening ceremony featuring Native American ritual, traditional Chinese music and dance, as well as Qigong and martial arts performances.
During the 4 days of the congress, the participants were able to learn Qigong of the 6 sounds, Qigong of the twelve brocades as well as lectures on Medical Qigong, Taoism and Chinese culture.
The whole was concluded with a magnificent banquet and closing show with colorful numbers of dance, music, martial arts, calligraphy and tea ceremony.
This unprecedented event in Quebec has definitely marked the community of Qigong and Chinese culture lovers who were delighted to be able to come together in such a large way and to enjoy such a high quality guest selection.
